Management Team

The Gazaro team is comprised of veteran web entrepreneurs and talented collaborators.

 

CEO – Alexander Rink

Alexander is a serial web entrepreneur who has led two other Internet SaaS companies to profitability. Prior to that, he used data analytics to optimize profits for retailers as a strategic management consultant at Bain & Company, where he identified and developed programs to serve the top 10% of a retailer’s customers that represented 50% of its profits. His previous experience also includes helping launch Ford/VW minivan manufacturing in Portugal as a Material Controller. Alexander brings over 20 years of entrepreneurial, strategic and operational experience to Gazaro, with an MBA from INSEAD and a B.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.

VP Marketing – Drew Williams

Drew brings over 30 years of sales, marketing and advertising experience to his role as VP Marketing at Gazaro. Drew has successfully marketed everything from TV to high-tech to chocolate, as head of marketing for a $10 billion company, a $100 million company, a $10 million dollar company, and a bunch of $1 million companies. Along the way, Drew founded, built and sold DRUMS, an Internet software company, to Softbank in June 2000, has been an award-winning retail copywriter, and has worked for and with some of the largest advertising agencies in the world. Drew graduated from McGill University with a BComm in Marketing and Entrepreneurship.

CTO – Dominic Plouffe

Dominic was Gazaro employee #1, and started work on the company in 2008. He has been in love with developing applications ever since he started developing his first game on the family’s Commodore 64. Prior to joining Gazaro, Dominic was a senior developer for bitHeads, Cre8Object, and Jetform. In 1999, Dominic co-founded and successfully exited FuseTalk Inc., an Enterprise Collaboration Suite used by Fortune 500 companies such as AT&T and Boeing, elite schools such as Harvard and Johns Hopkins, and governmental agencies around the world. FuseTalk inc. was sold in 2006.

VP Operations – Barry Sexton

Barry is a senior software executive with previous experience as a CEO and COO in a variety of markets such as manufacturing, higher education and healthcare. Prior to Gazaro, Barry oversaw product and services organizations for companies such as LiveQoS, Phreesia, Decision Academic, Blueair Networks, ProMira Software, and Simware.

CFO – Dan McCarthy

Dan is a seasoned financial executive with deep operational experience along with execution of a number of successful M&A transactions. Dan brings over 30 years of experience to his role of CFO at Gazaro, and specializes in the areas of high technology and startups. Previously, Dan has served as CFO for numerous other startup and early-stage companies, including LiveQoS, eSight, Gallium and Promira, which was acquired by Manugistics for over $100M.

The rest of the team is made up of talented developers, designers, and marketing staff who are passionate about Gazaro and the services they help provide to consumers and retailers.
